Liliart Internet Marketing LLC, Liliart Publishing Company Inc. and LeonARTo.com were all founded by Steven Kern and Kenneth Zerbe. Steven Kern is a former Partner with the accounting Firm of Arthur Young and Company. Kenneth Zerbe is a former Vice President of Finance with Apple Computer. Both have been noted Silicon Valley entrepreneurs for many years.
The Partners created these companies and sites to be the Internet marketing and publishing arm for both The Curtis Collection, a business that they have owned in partnership since 1982, and their retail Internet art galleries, now consolidated into LeonARTo.com, the most innovative on-line art gallery in the world.
The Curtis Collection specializes in the sale of photogravures, hand printed from the original copper photogravure plates of Edward S. Curtis, the noted photographer of Native Americans. These plates are significant and important historical collectables as well.
The Partners started Art-4-Less, the world's largest, full time, discount art gallery in late 1997. Starting with a small amount of inventory, the site grew to approximately 600 items, all offered for 50% or less of gallery retail prices. During 1998, after entering into many exclusive arrangements with major art publishers, self published artists, art galleries, and printers, Art-4-Less expanded from its original site to a total of 11 sites, including a wide variety of quality art works, all at value price points.
With the invention of the LeonARTo search technology and the LeonARTo art consultant character, these galleries are now merged into LeonARTo.com. LeonARTo.com's interface allows customers to find the art they want quickly and easily by using LeonARTo as an art consultant. During 2003, LeonARTo.com will unveil an exciting new interface, making the purchase of art more fun and easier.
All of the Company's sites have shopping cart interfaces, secure servers, and accept credit cards in a safe manner for customers.
The Companies has become one of the art industry leaders on the Internet. They are privately held and are well financed.
